What parents say
"Other apps I've used are nowhere near as slick."
"I genuinely don't know where I'd be without it. Lost. I'd definitely be lost."
The story behind Millie's App
Origin
Millie's App started as a notebook. A new dad, jotting down feeds and naps in the small hours, slowly began to see a rhythm forming on the page — not a schedule, but a quiet pattern unique to his daughter. The app exists to give every parent that same feeling: not more data, but more understanding.
Built by a parent, for parents. Named after Millie.
What it does
1. Quick gentle tracking
One-tap logging for feeds, sleep, nappies, baths, vitamins and tummy time. Open logs you can edit at any time, with reminders that nudge rather than nag.
2. Beyond charts — narrative summaries
Daily and weekly summaries written in plain language, not just graphs. A short story of your baby's day so you actually understand it at a glance.
3. Pattern insights
The app surfaces the rhythms that are already there — when feeds tend to cluster, when long naps usually fall, when the day starts to settle.
4. Phase-aware guidance
Insights adapt to your baby's developmental phase, so the app meets you where you are rather than treating week one and month nine the same.
5. Confidence battery
A gentle confidence model that fills up as you track consistently — so you can take days off without losing your rhythm view. Tracking should support family life, not run it.
6. And much more
Partner sharing, growth percentiles, milestone reassurance, vaccine reminders, and a learning library that grows with your baby.
Built around 8 developmental phases
Millie's App adapts as your baby grows. Each phase changes what the app shows and how it helps — gentle night-mode tracking in the newborn weeks, childcare handover support later on, solids preferences when food comes in.
- Newborn (0–4 weeks): No day or night yet — gentle round-the-clock tracking, no judgement, no schedule pressure.
- Early Regulation (4–8 weeks): The first hints of rhythm. Night mode quietly appears as circadian patterns begin.
- Social Awakening (8–12 weeks): Your baby is waking up to the world — the app starts surfacing pattern shifts.
- Rhythm Building (3–4 months): Patterns become clearer, days feel a little more steady.
- Mobility Preparation (4–6 months): New skills and shifts — sleep changes are explained, not flagged.
- Active Exploration (6–8 months): Solids tracking begins (what they liked, what they didn't), sitting, scooting.
- Communication Emerging (8–10 months): Babble, cues and childcare handover support for nurseries and grandparents.
- Intentional Interaction (10–12 months): Heading toward the first birthday — opinions, preferences, and a clearer rhythm to share.
